Babe's Kids Chicken Runs at Midnight 2012

The Third Annual Chicken Runs at Midnight will be held on May 4, 2012 at the Haddonfield High School. Last year thousands of people rallied behind the Townsend family and supported the Canuso Foundation in a way that exemplifies the best in people. This year, we are supporting Jason Garstkiewicz and Colin Hough!

Jason Garstkiewicz is a thirteen year old Haddonfield resident recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in his tibia.

As with many 13 year-old boys, Jason is a sports enthusiast.  Whether it is as a team player, or a spectator, Jason loves all sports.  He plays football, basketball, baseball, and lacrosse.  A diagnosis of bone cancer may have sidelined Jason for now, but it hasn’t stopped him from being present and cheering on his teammates for each and every game.  He also cheers on his favorite teams…the Duke Blue Devils, Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and Flyers.  Jason also enjoys fishing, long boarding and hanging out with his friends. Jason is a team player on and off the field.  He is a loyal friend, advocate for those less fortunate and, most importantly, he is a courageous and brave young man with a great sense of humor.

Colin Hough is a 14 year freshman at Haddonfield Memorial High School. In December 2011, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the connective tissue.

Colin has an amazing attitude. He is undergoing weekly treatments at CHOP that that includes radiation and chemotherapy. This aggressive protocol will continue through October 2012.
